"Renovated beach home designed to capture the bay and sunshine"

This house overlooking Tapu Bay, has originally been built in the seventies. The house is completely renovated on the inside and outside to live up the present day standards. The big glass windows and barbecue friendly deck is perfect for those long summer nights. Living areas are situated on the first floor and this area has been completely been redesigned with the addition, creating a new more welcoming space to enjoy. The new layout is very contemporary and has modern design laced through the old 70s theme, the perfect idea for budget conscious clients.

"In 2010 due to changes in our business holdings and operational commitments we decided we wanted to spend more time at our long-term owned beach house in Kaiteriteri and redevelop and modernise it in to a residence which we would be comfortable to live in for four -months plus per year. This project was to fully redevelop the site from front boundary to beach boundary stripping and building within and around the existing structure. Having a building and developing background we were able to detail and communicate what we wanted in the redevelopment in the way of space, finishes and style but need someone to take this information and develop the concept. To this end we wanted to use an Architectural practise that was local and had a working relationship and knowledge of the local Council. As you do in a small township we asked around and after having Stephan name mentioned a couple of time we meet with Stephan and soon after engaged Stephan Meijer Architecture Limited for the project. Stephan Meijer Architecture engagement was to take our brief and: Develop preliminary design. Obtain sign off. Develop documentation for Resource Consent. Manage Resource Consent application. Develop documentation for Building Consent. Manage Building Consent application. Additional technical assistance and detailing as required. Site visits and review as required. We were happy with the work completed by Stephan and found that he would listen and follow instruction on what you wanted but at the same time would infuse his own flair and design thoughts and not be afraid to push a point or concern if he didn’t agree with you which is refreshing. We are delighted with our finished product and would be happy to talk to anybody that are considering using Stephan Meijer Architecture Limited for their project."
