The building envelope has been compartment-ed to reduce the scale of the house and dark tiles used for parts of the elevations, anchor the house to the site, while further reducing the scale. The use of plenty of glass allows the breathtaking views to be intensely experienced from all the living spaces. The selection of neutral (mainly white) colors, both inside and outside, allows the house to reflect the moods of the ocean and the sky.
